Get ready for our FIRST TRY for a 2026 Moonlight Regatta!
May has two full moons – May 1 and May 31.
When there’s a second full moon in a month it’s called a Blue Moon.
The closest weekend night to the May 31 full moon is Saturday, May 30th (it will be 99.5% full – and the full Moon is 12:36am 5/31/26).
All Moonlight Regattas are WEATHER PERMITTING as always…
Rain definitely cancels… Overcast skies that block the moonrise also can make for an underwhelming Moonlight Regatta, but we will call that (and post on instagram.com/laketruesdale before the evening)
