Applications received are checked against a list of TEA, TLPOA, Vreeland/Lovecross, and Lake Shore Drive riparian addresses. If you are not a deeded member in good standing your application will be rejected.
Truesdale is a private lake. Fishing is allowed for association residents and their guests only. Any person age 16 or older is required to have a NY State Fishing License and it must be on their person while fishing.
Valid NY State Fishing License must be presented upon request of an ECO* or local police officer.
New York State law says “A fishing license is required for anyone 16 years of age or older, whether the lake is accessible to the public or not.â€
(page 8, NY State Fishing Guide)
In addition to the NY State Fishing License, you must be a deeded member in good standing of one of the Truesdale Lake organizations (TLPOA, TEA, Vreeland association) or have waterfront property AND you must have a valid Truesdale Lake fishing tag.
Fishing Tags are available free for TLPOA, TEA, Vreeland/Lovecross, and non-affiliated waterfront owners in good standing.
NO FISHING IS EVER ALLOWED IN ANY SEASON FROM THE TRUESDALE BEACHES.
*ECO is a New York State Police Environmental Conservation Officer.
