Dock Application

<< Back to Dock Reasonable Use Criteria

Please scroll down for form.

On Truesdale Lake, new dock construction, dock renovation, or dock repair must be approved by the Truesdale Lake Dock Committee (TLDC).

The TLDC is comprised of members of the TLPOA, TEA, Vreeland, and Lake Shore Drive unaffiliated riparian homeowners (aka the collective owners and maintainers of Truesdale Lake).

In addition to approval from the TLDC the homeowner must also do the following:

(We recommend this be done in parallel with Truesdale Dock Committee since permits can take time to be issued and you should start the town permitting process ASAP.):

Note: Failure to obtain a wetland activity permit can result in a town fine of up to $7,500 per offense (see this section of town code)

The form below and all application information submitted will go to the members of TLDC for consideration.

Please refer to the Dock Reasonable Use Criteria page for information on docks allowed on the lake. After you have familiarized yourself with the dock reasonable use criteria and have all necessary paperwork for the dock application, please fill out the form below and submit.

If you have submitted the online form without attaching the information required at the bottom, your application is incomplete. Please email the missing documents to truesdaledock@gmail.com. Note: not including everything with your submitted application WILL cause delays since your application will not be in one place for easy reference for committee members to review.

FYI – There is no paper version of this form. All applications are electronic for faster distribution and easier tracking.

If your dock proposal conforms to the TLDC’s Reasonable Use Criteria for Building and Maintaining a dock on Truesdale Lake, the TEA will draft a letter that consents to the proposed use of the TEA lake and lake bed. You must sign and return this consent. We will provide you a copy for your records.

You must also apply for a building permit with the Town of Lewisboro. They will ask you about the TLDC signed consent approval so get it to them as soon as you receive approval.

If you have any questions, please email truesdaledock@gmail.com with the word “dock” somewhere in the subject line. Thanks!

When you submit this application, it is automatically emailed to everyone on the TLDC right away.

Incomplete forms will not be processed.

Forms Needed

The forms below are needed for the Truesdale Dock application. They are also required by the Lewisboro Wetlands Inspector and Lewisboro Building Department in order for them to issue permits. Getting them together now will help your building & wetlands permit application to the town — which is the next step of this process.

IMPORTANT: REQUIRED FORMS

If you can include these documents below with your online application, it will speed up our response since we can distribute them to committee members right away. If you can’t include them here, you MUST email them to truesdaledock@gmail.com after you submit this online application. Emailing information WILL delay the committee’s response since all information is not in one place.

Thanks for your application. Once you hit submit button below — and we have received all supplemental forms outlined above — we will get back to you within two weeks with approval or rejection. All dock applications must also apply for a permit and receive approval from the town building department and the wetlands inspector/planninboard.

The town wetland inspector and building inspector will ask if you have obtained the Truesdale Lake Dock Committee approval before you can proceed with your town permit application. Bring the association approval letter to the building department and submit with your building permit application. The documents required for this approval are also needed for a town permit.

Any questions, please email truesdaledock@gmail.com.

Thanks! Don’t forget to press the Submit button below…

IMPORTANT: Please scroll up after you hit submit to make sure the “Thank You” message is displayed indicating your application went through.
