Full Moon Sail – Friday, August 19th, 2005

Last summer we held a hugely successful “Blue Moon Sail” where everyone gathered to view the summer blue moon (the second full moon in any given month).

This summer, the moon will be full at 7:17PM on Friday, August 19th, 2005 (from US Naval Observatory Website). We are calling on all boaters, whether you are a sailor, canoeist, kayaker, rowboater, or paddlewheeler we invite you to gather for a trip around the lake in the evening.

The circuit will begin at around 8:30PM at the sunfish race start area across the lake from the Gilbert Street Beach. Participants can join and leave at will. We encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the lake.

All boaters are encouraged to bring flashlights & lifejackets for safety! If you do not have a boat sticker, please register your boat with the Truesdale Lake boating committee using this form.

Current moon phase can be seen here.
