The vast majority of residents around the lake and surrounding community obey the speed limit.
However, there are always a few who speed by as we are taking our walks or rides around the lake or working in our yards, seemingly oblivious to the bikers, pedestrians, and children around every bend.
To those drivers I ask this: consider leaving a bit earlier so you aren’t always rushing in their cars. Take more care when driving and realize you are only in control of your own car. You cannot possibly anticipate what a 3-year-old is going to do. And you can’t see around corners.
