The second of four races today (2 official) had six sailors in five boats. Joe Artese sailed with a friend. The race added another leg to the long course. We went up to the north buoy then back to the start buoys, then back up to the north again before continuing with the typical course. The Joes boat was in the lead through the first leg but was overtaken after the second northbound leg. Jack got ahead going downwind, followed by Ira then Marks, Robs and Joes boats. Jack notched his second win of the day, beating out Mark in the upwind leg. Ira got the short end of a wind shift a few boat lengths before the finish and came in just behind Rob. Joe did very well against a tough crowd. |
